DESCRIPTION:
Austria, small bracket clock, 30 hour, time and alarm, round spring driven movement with verge escapement in an ebonized wood case with ogee molded base and pagoda top with gilt carrying handle, case sides with figural gilt mounts, gilt shield-shaped dial with engraving, matted center, and Roman numeral applied silvered chapter ring, silvered alarm set ring, and a single blued steel hand.
CONDITION:
The case has had repairs and restoration to the finish. The gilt mounts are good but date to later in the century. The dial is good with minor wear and scratches. The dial mask obscures a bit of the engraving. The dial/movement are a bit loose in the case. The movement has new steel cable on the fusee. Nice watch style back cock with double-headed eagle over a lion. Pendulum is fixed to pallet arbor.
